The Immigration Advice Authority regulates immigration advisers according to their level of competence and the work they are authorised to undertake.
Level 1 is described by GOV.UK as Advice and Assistance. Level 1 advisers can advise on straightforward matters within their authorised areas.
If a matter is outside our authorised scope or is too complex for Level 1, it may need to be referred to an appropriately authorised adviser.
